The Toyota Land Cruiser 80 brings the unmistakable presence of a legendary expedition 4×4 into a substantial 1:10 scale platform built for both trail driving and technical crawling. Its long wheelbase, straight-axle layout and generous ground clearance give it the stance of a serious off-road rig, while the detailed body and interior keep the scale experience at the heart of the model.
Finished in a distinctive gunmetal and tri-color livery, the LC80 takes inspiration from Toyota’s early-1970s racing heritage while giving the classic body a modern scale-crawler presence. The hard-wearing PC plastic body is packed with details, from the snorkel, wipers and door handles to the off-road bumper, rear ladder, roof rack and other expedition-style accessories.
Step inside and the scale treatment continues. A fully detailed interior with driver figure, dashboard and steering wheel gives the LC80 a convincing presence even when the vehicle is simply sitting in the workshop. The roof rack is also designed to carry scale accessories, adding another layer of realism to an expedition-style setup.
The body itself integrates a magnetic lighting system, with headlights, front and side turn signals, rear turn signals and reverse lights. Power is transferred through the magnetic connection between the body and chassis, keeping the installation clean without loose lighting wires hanging between the two.
Underneath, the realistic crawling chassis is built around straight axles, a 550 32T brushed motor and a two-speed transmission. Low gear delivers the controlled torque needed for slow technical sections, with a maximum speed of around 10 km/h, while high gear raises the pace to approximately 22 km/h when the trail opens up.
With 76 mm of ground clearance, 120 mm tires, a 325 mm wheelbase and approach and departure angles of 51° and 42°, the LC80 has the physical proportions and clearance to tackle rocks, uneven ground and demanding trail sections. The 2.4 GHz 6-channel radio system provides up to approximately 150 metres of control range, while the chassis accepts either a 2S or 3S 5000 mAh battery.
The result is a Land Cruiser 80 that combines scale realism, trail presence and genuine crawling capability in a platform made to be driven. From slow technical climbs to faster open sections, the two-speed transmission lets the character of the rig change with the terrain.
Classic Land Cruiser character. Serious 1:10 scale presence. Built for crawling and the trail.
